Description
An IGT which are wines that sit outside the rules of the region, rebels in disguise. A Sangiovese blended with other Tuscan grape varieties. Governo is a method where a portion of naturally dried grapes (picked later) are added to the fermenting grapes, adding richness, power and a silky-smooth texture.
Smells
aromas of cherry, black cherry and extremely ripe red fruits are complemented by spicy nuances.
Tastes
Governo gives a deeply impenetrable red colour and where the taste is rich and full yet maintains an elegant balance between softness and acidity, all contained within the chewy tannin framework. Making the perfect food wine suitable for tasty pasta dishes and red meat of all kinds. Drinking well now through 2027.
