Post fermentation it was aged for 20 months in best quality French and American oak Hogsheads (25% new)... The finished wine is a bold, rich, layered and sophisticated expression of beautiful Barossa Shiraz fruit. From your first taste you’ll know you’re enjoying a highly awarded wine (9 Gold Medals plus 3 x 5 Stars). So drinkable at 3-years of age... it will drink beautifully for 15-20 years if well stored and you’re prepared to wait that long.
Smells
Powerful and rich aromas of Blackberry, plum, mocha, sweet spices, and dark chocolate.
Tastes
A powerful, rich, velvety and complex Shiraz with fine sweet oak, baking spices, black strap liquorice, creamy espresso and chocolate layers. Full-bodied Barossa Shiraz with fine tannins, creamy texture and a powerful, persisting finish. Big and sophisticated... you can’t have too much of this magnificent Barossa Shiraz.
