St. Dune is a project from brothers Duncan and Peter Lloyd using fruit sourced from a vineyard in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. Peter and Duncan grew up immersed in a world of wine, olive oil, illegal goats’ cheese, and great food. Both boys worked in kitchens from the age of 13 and developed a love of good food and an understanding of wine's role in bringing food to life and this shows in their wines. Duncan studied winemaking around the world. They farm organically and ferment simply with low levels of sulphur. Dune Tirari is a unique blend of Touriga, Mourvedre, Negroamaro and Grenache.

High-tone red and dark fruit aromas with cinnamon and spice and all things nice.

This is a more restrained style with a purity of fruit, drive, and direction, far from the norm for the McLaren Vale, intended to be drunk slightly chilled. A very exciting style and certainly a winery to watch and take note of. An ideal red wine to serve after white wines. Vibrant, forward, red fruits greet the senses, with a focused linear structure and intricately woven tannins and acid weaving their magic around the fruit. Perfect with roast duck or pork. Drink now or put in the cellar for 3-4 years.
