Sip, Savor, and Celebrate: The Delightful World of Champagne Gardet

Hey Champagne enthusiasts, we've got a secret to share - Champagne Gardet is about to become your new favourite champagne, and here's why! With its unbeatable quality and affordable price tag, it's a game-changer for any celebration. Let's dive into what makes Champagne Gardet so special.

1. Outstanding quality

One of the first things that set Champagne Gardet apart is its dedication to quality. The Brut Tradition, for instance, ages for a minimum of 36 months on lees. That's an impressive feat, exceeding the aging process of most non-vintage Champagnes. But here's where it gets really exciting – the Charles Gardet Prestige Cuvee outshines the competition with a mind-blowing 16 years on lees!

It’s also worth noting that the fruit used in the making of Champagne Gardet comes from the vineyard right next to the Dom Perignon vineyard in the Champagne region.

And the best part? It's priced at a fraction of what you'd pay for other Prestige Champagnes. Talk about value for money!

Not to mention, we take extra care in shipping Champagne Gardet from Champagne Maison in France which was established in 1895. We use refrigerated containers, with temperature control so it arrives at your doorstep naturally fresh and dry, ensuring that you get the best of the best.

2. It is world-renowned

Champagne Gardet isn't just a local favorite - it's a worldwide sensation. Champagne Gardet has made appearances at some of the most prestigious venues and events worldwide. From the hallowed halls of the House of Commons and House of Lords in Westminster, London, to the elegant Wentworth Club and the historic Windsor Castle, this Champagne is no stranger to the limelight. It has also graced the tables of top-tier establishments like Grantley Hall Luxury Hotels, the Royal Air Force Club, and the Army & Navy Club, among many others.

But that's not all! Champagne Gardet has even been served at the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the President of the French Republic, as well as Lords Cricket Grounds and inside the Business Class cabins of renowned airlines like Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, and Lufthansa. It's clear that Champagne Gardet has a global fan base.

3. You can sip on it all night long

Unlike some major commercial labels that add more sugar at dosage (the process of preparing Champagne for the market), Gardet believes in the enduring elegance of longer aging on lees. This approach results in Champagnes with greater complexity and balance, allowing for a lower dosage of sweetness. The end product? Dry, exquisitely rounded Champagnes that you can savour all night long!

If you're a true Champagne enthusiast, you've likely come across the term "lees" at some point. But what exactly are lees, and why do they play such a crucial role in crafting that perfect bottle of bubbly?

What does aged on lees mean?

"Aged on lees" known as "sur lie" in French refers to a crucial stage in a wine's maturation process. Lees are the residual, dead yeast cells, along with other particles, that remain in a wine after the fermentation process. These particles settle at the bottom of the fermenting container, forming a sediment or creamy residue. This aging technique is pivotal in enhancing the flavor, texture, and overall profile of the wine, leading to a more complex and nuanced tasting experience.

What does Lees do?

Aging wine on lees serves to enrich its flavor, texture, and mouthfeel. This transformation is driven by a process called "autolysis," where the yeast undergoes a breakdown, releasing amino acids and subtle sugars. The result is a heightened sensory experience, with an enhanced flavor profile and a more velvety texture on the palate. This technique is more frequently applied to white wines compared to reds, as it significantly bolsters their structure and texture.

The duration of lees aging is typically left to the discretion of the winemaker, varying from a few months to as long as a remarkable 10-20 years

What is time on lees for non-vintage?

By law, a non-vintage Champagne must be aged for 15 months in bottle and spend at least 12 months on lees, according to the Comité Champagne.

What is time on lees for vintage cuvees?

For vintage cuvées, time on lees is a minimum of 36 months.

What does shipped fresh mean?

Shipped fresh means that it’s a fresh batch. You can be sure it hasn't languished for years in a warehouse or a storefront window display. If you’ve ever been disappointed by a bottle of your favorite champagne because it didn’t taste as bright and fresh as you remembered, you might have purchased an old bottle. Rest assured, we go the extra mile by shipping in temperature-controlled containers, ensuring your Champagne arrives at your doorstep in perfect, fresh, and dry condition!
