Description
There is a paper trail that traces Old Bushmills legendary history in the beautifully scenic County Antrim, Northern Ireland back to 1608. This makes it the oldest working distillery in the world. That on its own is an amazing fact but combined with their record of producing some of the greatest whiskeys ever created, makes them veritably iconic. At the famous still, Black Bush is nicknamed 'the loveable rogue', ironically no one knows why. However, what everyone does know there, is how beautifully soft, complex and well rounded this bourbon and sherry cask aged, classic whiskey is. A true classic that should be in every discerning whiskey drinkers cabinet this Christmas. I don't mind admitting it, this is one of my favourite whiskeys of all time and most of the world's top whiskey writers agree with me! Grab a bottle at this fantastic price as it won't last long!
Smells
freshly baked apples, hot out of the oven, with spicy and malty notes.
Tastes
There are flavours of milk chocolate, honey, vanilla and flamed fruits with just a hint of pure, soft Antrim coast rain. A long, drying finish with syrupy and licorice notes
Style: Cask and Barrel Aged
