Description
Dublin used to be the biggest producer of high-quality whiskey in the world and Jameson was one of the top 4. Some say that the Jameson brand saved Irish whiskey way back in 1966 when Irish whiskey distillation had fallen to only 3 working stills. Today it is right at the forefront of Ireland's spirit Renaissance. This batch has been aged in double charred American white oak barrels producing a smooth, sweeter style. This Irish whiskey is a wonderful example of the mystery of seasonal barrel aging and the sacred elixirs it produces, brilliant whisky.
Smells
tropical fruits, coconut, guava and nectarines titillate the nostrils with richness added from sweet cereal infusion.
Tastes
a dark, smoother, sweeter, spiced whiskey with complex aromas of butterscotch and homemade fudge. The malted and unmalted pot still component crackles with leather, spice and finest marshmallow. The other grain component is full of buttered popcorn and scented organic vanilla.
