Description
Family owned for 150 years, John Grant bought Glenfarclas distillery in 1865 for ?511, 19S. These days it is priceless, producing some of the very finest, Highland, Single Malt in a traditional, soft honeyed, Speyside, style. The 12 year old is a very classy, elegant dram. This fiercely independent distillery has 68,000 casks maturing on site, 4 handmade copper stills in continuous use with 2 kept in reserve. This is truly a great, iconic, soft Speyside whisky for an incredible price. Stock up while you still can! This is an absolute bargain that would thrill any canny Scot!
Smells
a delicate mix of honey, hints of sherry with orange zest and baking spices; cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Tastes
showing smooth, sherried dried fruits, sappy, vanilla hued oak and luscious, soft, sweet spicy, chocolate flavours, gentle and well balanced.
