Description
Jancis Robinson MW names Gardet’s Prestige Charles Rose one of the top 10 Rose Champagnes in the world. Little wonder, it is predominantly from Grand Cru fruit, and one of the few rare Rose Champagnes that are made using the Saignee method, whereby the colour and flavour come from brief skin contact rather than adding red wine to white, resulting in a more elegant, silken textured wine.
Smells
Harmonious nose of strawberry, chocolate box and orange peel with mushroom and spring flower complexity that provides a similar meditative experience to great aged red Burgundy
Tastes
Elegant and finely concentrated with berries, red and black currants and stewed fruits on the impeccably balanced and gracefully silken textured palate through to the long, sensual finish.
