Description
Blanc de Blancs means white wine from white grapes, Chardonnay in this case – just as it is in Champagne. Made in the traditional method with the secondary fermentation in the bottle and with extended time on lees. This classy vintage Methode, from NZ’s first Māori-owned wine enterprise, offers great value for money.
Smells
Almond, biscuit, brioche, and lanolin complexity with a crisp apple and stone fruit profile.
Tastes
The perfect balance of rich, creamy, and structured acidity. The palate is loaded with lemon, and lime zest, granny smith apples with toasted hazelnuts. The mousse is fine, well balanced with a touch of minerality on the finish. A deliciously rich, yet refined sparkling, offering superb quality for the price and an excellent alternative to Champagne. Drink now but could develop up until 2025. Enjoy with soft cheese and seafood.
