Description
2023 Bottling
Sherry one of the wine world’s unsung heroes. Essentially rama means branch and en rama would be translated as on the vine or figuratively: raw. That’s exactly what it is: raw sherry, in its natural state, straight from the cask (or rather: the closest possible to straight from the cask, no fining or filtration). It only applies to biologically aged sherries. Now in its 14th edition, Tio Pepe En Rama is vivid and intense, as expected. Full of flavour and such a versatile wine at the table, perfect with cured meats, olives, and dry roasted almonds. Head Winemaker Antonio Flores and his daughter Silvia carefully selected 98 barrels for this release. Once open, store in the fridge and drink within a week of opening. Fino sherries are typically fresh and fruity and deteriorate with oxidation.

Smells
a lifted mineral perfume of perfect chalky notes, hay, olive brine and hints of almonds.
Tastes
This En Rama is alive with flavour and has more nutty and yeasty aromas than the usual Tio Pepe and on the palate it is fresh and citrusy, with a complex, saline finish.
