A whole lot of wine for your dollar, the Johnny Q Cabernet Sauvignon is another superb example from winemaker John Quarisa. From the classic Australian region of Coonawarra, famous for its Cabernet Sauvignon. Full-flavoured with lots of generous black and red fruits and a minty tinge, this is a lovely juicy Cab from South Australia.
Smells
Blackberry, milk chocolate, blueberry, and vanilla.
Tastes
Velvety fruit with loads of dark sweetness, soft tannins, and a lingering finish, this is wonderful value for the lover of full-bodied red wines. The sweet, generous fruit would make the ideal match for roast Kiwi lamb, both succulent and juicy. Decant or hold in the cellar for 3-5 years. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
