Description
Jackaman’s vineyard, home to Langmeil’s finest and rarest Cabernet Sauvignon, was planted in the 1960s during the Barossa's Cabernet revolution. This cherished vineyard was tended by the vibrant Arthur Jackaman, a World War II paratrooper, boxer, and butcher, who entrusted his small plot to Langmeil upon retirement.
Smells
Lifted blackcurrant and blueberry aromas entwine with biscuity French oak, hints of liquorice and more savoury, black olive notes.
Tastes
Bright, juicy, and rich blue fruits flow onto the palate which is medium to full-bodied. Briary spice, black olive and cedary hints add to the complexity with a touch of new oak sweetness and silky tannins to add complexity to the fruity and velvety finish. Cellaring: 2024-2030 and best paired with your favourite red meats. For optimal drinking pleasure serve at 16-18 degrees.
