Description
Man O’ War is all about vineyard selection with almost 100 different vineyard sites to choose from. Not only vineyard selection but Duncan McTavish loves experimenting with different winemaking techniques to bring out the best of each parcel. Thus, resulting in a great expression of Waiheke in this Bordeaux blend.
Smells
Red fruits, mulberries, red currants and blackcurrant leaf aromas with cedar and sandalwood notes.
Tastes
A wine with plush, juicy fruit, red fruit flavours, a nice level of ripeness, with complexing elements of forest floor with earthy, savoury notes. The tannins are very soft, in balance with the fruit weight. Great drinking now and enjoy with BBQ red meats.
