It’s crafted with 100% handpicked, low yield Estate fruit off their steeply sloping, free draining vineyards and aged in fine French oak. Plush fruit with cassis, plum, coffee, and tobacco leaf and a delightful array of red and dark berries, including crunchy cranberries… it finishes with an elegant Bordeaux like coolness. Drinking superbly at 4-years of age, it will peak around 2028 and hold through 2031. Delightful to share with family & friends – great for BBQs… perfect for functions & gifts.

20th March 2025 | Tony

Plummy, fruity, delicious wine that benefits from being allowed to breathe for a while before drinking - if you can wait!

20th March 2025 | Peter Ennis

Excellent wine for the price So moorish should have purchased 2 cases

20th March 2025 | Frank Blaak

I'm not a wine expert and can only comment on whether I like something. This is one of my favourites.

19th March 2025 | Matthew Cheer

5* for value & 4* for tasting. Lovely aroma of well-ripened plum skin mixed with a spice note (like nutmeg?). Even better the day after opening which bodes well for cellaring.

19th March 2025 | Rob Gill

Medium bodied blend with a smooth finish. Easy to drink on its own

19th March 2025 | Grant

Great wine. Exceptional value. Buy a case (or two!) now and you’ll thank yourself later.

19th March 2025 | Simon Ireland

So nice to enjoy this excellent wine after many afternoons looking down onto the vineyard

18th March 2025 | Stephen

A very drinkable New Zealand version of this blend at a competitive price.

18th March 2025 | David Chalmers

Fantastic fruity Waiheke wine. Beautiful blackcurrant bouquet

18th March 2025 | Bill Hollins

A Merlot-dominant blend that bridges New World vibrancy with Right Bank Bordeaux elegance. Deep ruby in the glass, it opens with ripe blackcurrant, plum, and a lift of cranberry. Layers of coffee and dried tobacco add depth. The palate is plush yet precise, with fine-grained tannins providing structure without overshadowing the fruit. A long, refined finish leaves a lasting impression of cool elegance. Exceptional value for those seeking immediate appeal with mid-term cellaring potential.

18th March 2025 | Lex

While I enjoyed this wine and I still have one bottle left, for me it certainly didn't merit a 5- star rating; more 3.5-4 stars.

The price of a 'quaffer', but delivers well in excess of its price. Good value at its cellar door price. Superb value and quality at this price!

18th March 2025 | Jules

18th March 2025 | Kevin Glover

Very nice wine. I’m not a wine critic so I can’t wax lyrical about the fruits etc. I can only say that it was an enjoyable wine to drink with a strong flavour and great after taste in the mouth. I mostly drink red blends and this is near the top of my list of great tasting reds. Wouldn’t hesitate in buying again.
