Description
A creation of Nicholas Crampton, Corey Ryan (winemaker) and the Fourth Wave team. They aim to make good, valuable, approachable wines using their dynamic winemaking skills. Take it to the Grave, suggests aged vines and indeed old vines, dry-farmed Cabernet grapes were sourced from a selection of mature vineyards (20 years old) planted on red Terra Rossa soils of Coonawarra, 100% Cabernet and 100% Coonawarra, capturing the essence of the variety and place.
Smells
a fragrant, aromatic nose that personifies Coonawarra. Loads of complexing characters with black fruits, graphite and vital spicy, oak.
Tastes
The palate is medium to full-bodied and almost claret-like with its grippy but integrated tannins ensuring a long finish. Drinking well now will also reward short-term cellaring. Serve with your favourite red meats. If drinking soon, best to decant one hour before serving.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
