Description
With grapes off the Menzies Vineyard, Yalumba’s premium Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, was established in the world-famous region of Coonawarra in 1975. Just 2 kilometres wide and 20 kilometres long, the Coonawarra terroir is defined by a long, narrow strip of Terra Rossa soil over limestone - perfect for growing full-bodied, structured Cabernet. This "Baby Menzies" is perfect for any BBQ and won’t break the piggy bank... A wine everyone will love and will benefit from careful cellaring.
Smells
Intense aromas of blueberries, violets and maraschino cherry, with nuances of dark berries and French oak.
Tastes
Deep crimson in colour with a magenta hue. Silky and vibrant, the wine bursts with intense black fruits, the palate is structured with the mid-palate balanced by fine, long tannins. A wine for the cellar and given 10 years+ the rewards will be outstanding. The harmony of fruit, structure and complexity will excite all that get to try this wine, no end. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
