Description
Ata Rangi’s Celebre is a Bordeaux-style blend with a cult following, regularly a stand-out and a wine that rewards with 5-10+ years in the cellar or enjoyment with hearty food. A blend of 47% Merlot, 37% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec. It is a stylish and medium-bodied wine that is ripe, satisfying and will be great drinking for years to come. In fact, this latest release 2022 offers a more approachable, early drinking style, a reflection of the year, but delicious drinking while you wait for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 wines to mature in your cellar. In 2022 it is Merlot dominant, capturing the plump fruit of this variety, back to a true Bordeaux-style.
Smells
Plum, graphite, dry summer hay, cedar, and liquorice.
Tastes
Elegant, refined, and mellow with a hint of pepper, cured meat mingling with the red, and black cherry flavours.
