Description
The 4th year this ultra-consistent, organically grown Bordeaux Supérieur has forced its way into our annual Bordeaux container selection from a very large line up. Bordeaux Supérieur wines are next level from standard Bordeaux AOC wines. From the excellent 2019 vintage the mix of dominance of Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc supporting has yielded a lovely wine with weight, roundness structure and texture.
Smells
a heady perfume of your favourite leather armchair, sandalwood, milk chocolate, mocha and brown spice.
Tastes
gently fruited with supple tannins and wonderfully complex, savoury flavours and where the entire combination simply make your knees weak. Perfect drinking now and over the next 1-2 years, but not much longer as it is at a great state of evolution right here, right now.
