This historic estate is part of the Puisseguin Saint-Émilion appellation, which has the strictest laws of all the satellite appellations in Saint Émilion. Bought by current owners Jonathan and Lyn Maltus in 1994, the historic estate and Chateau has been thoroughly modernised and refurbished to craft wines of the highest standards. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc this is a rich and hearty red offering exceptional value for money
Smells
A deep, cedary nose showing blueberries, liquorice, graphite and pencil shavings.
Tastes
Juicy, layered and serious on the palate, with lots of red and black fruit and a distinctly serious mouthfeel, this is a cracking Saint Emilion that shows great value in such a good year. Enjoy now to 2030.
