Description
Château Tour Chaigneau is spread over 21 hectares on a clay-limestone soils with iron dross. It is located at the highest point of the Néac plateau and in the continuity of the most prestigious part of the Pomerol plateau, at 800m as the crow flies from Château Petrus. A blend of 92% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec, the grapes were harvested plot by plot to ensure maximum ripeness.
Smells
Rich with blackberries, black cherries, blackcurrants and boysenberries with toasted almonds and earthiness.
Tastes
Dense dark fruit abounds! With some iron earthiness and a touch of smoke. Grippy tight tannins linger, and the length has a saline kiss to it. Enjoy now with red meats and hard cheese through to 2030.
