Description
Just down the road from Chateau Ausone, you’ll find Chateau de Pressac, an ancient estate that dates back to medieval times. Infact Chateau de Pressac has been marked by historians as the site of the surrender of the Battle of Castillon, which ended the Hundred Years’ War. In 1997 Jean Francois Quentin bought the property and has been responsible for a huge uplift in quality, transforming and modernizing the cellar and winery. While this Chateau Tour de Pressac is their second wine, it offers tremendous value and ageability.
Smells
An elegantly perfumed bouquet of cherry, boysenberry, strawberry and spice with hints of mocha.
Tastes
A fine palate with well-integrated tannins, red and dark berries take the lead with spice and dark chocolate following. Easy to drink with a long juicy finish. Enjoy now or through to 2030, which red meats and hard cheese.
