Tasting every inch, the serious Bordeaux blend with its plum, cassis, cedar and liquorice flavours, it gets better with every passing day in the bottle as the fine tannins continue to mellow and get more harmonious. Smells
blackcurrants leap out of the glass underpinned by cinnamon, cedar, fresh tobacco leaves and a spearminty tinge.
Tastes
showing the classic hallmarks of Bordeaux varietals with cassis flavours, gravelly tannins and a finely woven acid thread providing tension and a framework for the juicy fruit. There is great vibrancy and freshness to this wine that would benefit from decanting just prior to serving to tannin some of those rugged tannins. The perfect accompaniment to all BBQ meats, especially juicy BBQ pork ribs. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
