The Catena wines are a special assemblage of High Mountain Estate Vineyards. Through decades of study and exploration within Mendoza's high altitude mountain terroirs, the Catena family has identified special locations for its Estate vineyards. A Blend of Three Vineyards: Lunlunta (920m) elevation: alluvial origin. Loamy clay in the topsoil with rounded rocks on the bottom. El Cepillo, Eugenio Bustos (1,090 m) elevation: alluvial origin. Loam-sandy soil with thick calcareous layers and rounded rocks on the bottom and Gualtallary (1,450 m) elevation: aluvial origin. Gravel and limestone soil. Rounded rocks in the bottom. From the marriage of these historic vineyards emerges a wine of unique character that has natural balance, concentration, and a distinct varietal identity.

still very much a youthful wine with vibrancy, energy and a dense core of juicy fruit. Those same dark berry fruit flavours dictate on the palate, balance by silky, smooth and charming tannins. A wine that will benefit from 4-5 years+ in a temperature-controlled cellar allowing harmony and integration of the fruit and tannins. If opening soon, decant prior to serving. Serve with your favourite roasted meats. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
