Description

While Famille Perrin make some of the most expensive red wines in the world off their famous Chateau de Beaucastel Estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, they are better known in New Zealand for selling supremely pleasurable, outstanding value wines like La Vìeille Ferme (the old farm). The La Vìeille Ferme rouge is magical value ‘house’ Red crafted by a producer extraordinaire A blend of Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Juicy, fresh, and crunchy, it’s a character filled Cotes du Rhone Rouge. Highly versatile with food, and stonkingly delicious without, it can even be enjoyed with a light chill on warmer nights.

Smells

Delightful mix of raspberry, blackberry, red and black liquorice, and spice aromas.

Tastes

Juicy, and laden with fresh berry fruits threaded with subtle spices. Generous fleshy flavours with a fine tannic backbone and lightly creamed textural embrace to keep your full attention. Great with casual BBQ and alfresco dining. Delicious on its own, it will lead you to sharing a few tall stories.
