Faithful to their McLaren Vale reputation for producing big, rich wines, the concentrated and powerful nose of this Serafino Reserve Grenache really pulls you into the glass. Perfumed and vibrant, it’s oozing regional character with classic, pure and perfectly ripened Grenache fruit. Steve Maglieri has won “100’s of Gold Medals” & “Dozens of International Champion Trophies” for his famed McLaren Vale reds over 40 years. This striking Old-Vine Grenache would probably sell for several times its price was it a Shiraz. This Serafino Reserve Grenache 2022 will be one of the more remarkable bang for buck premium Aussie red experiences for those smart enough to purchase early.
Smells
Intense aromas of raspberries, cherries, strawberries, blackberries and more, with hints of spice and rose petals.
Tastes
The palate is silky smooth, with fine-grained tannins enmeshed in its deceptively weighty red and dark berry fruit, which is peppered with spices. It will gracefully age through 2032… but there’s an upside to enjoying the purity of its engrossing flavours while younger. Perfect with Chinese five-spice roast pork belly or Peking duck.
