Description

As with so many red wine drinkers across NZ… French Côtes du Rhône is also hugely popular at Fine Wine Delivery, it simply walks out the door. And when a wine of this sensational quality/value crosses our path, it sells quickly! Sub $20 it’s one of the GREAT red wine bargains of this Millennium. Excellent generosity of fruit thanks to 60% Grenache, yet superbly structured due to 30% Syrah, plus 10% other CDR varieties. One sip and you’ll be back for more. Not only a regular quaffer par excellence… it could double as your Saturday special too. Excellent all year round drinking through 2028.

Smells

Aromas of strawberry, wild raspberries, black plum, kirsch, hints of forest floor, bramble, and spice.

Tastes

A well-structured Côtes du Rhône with a generous core of juicy red and black fruits wrapped in chewy, finely grained tannins. A complete Ying/yang of fruit to tannin, making this wine even more serious. For the price tag, it is out on its own. Drinking well now through 2028 with all red meats, hard cheeses; veal, mushroom and tomato inspired pasta dishes, plus save a glass to enjoy by itself.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
