From the esteemed Viña Valoria, founded in 1860, the sixth-oldest winery in Rioja, this wine is steeped in history. With such serious heritage, maturity and guile, it’s a must-try. It’s in a perfect drinking window… the reward immeasurably high.
Smells
Complex & elegant aromas waft from the glass, figs, sandalwood, tobacco, dates and spice.
Tastes
The generous palate is layered with flavours of chocolate, vanilla, spices, dried figs and fresh dates… full of the charm and guile of age. Volumnous and at the same time elegant with firm, yet well rounded, supple tannins forming a sublime, harmonious picture. Drinking beautifully now through 2030+ and perfect with game meats, stews, roasts and hearty soups or mature, hard cheese. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 degrees.
