Located on the site of an old orchard on the upper Bannockburn terraces, the site and soils are clearly special, ratified by its multiple trophy & Gold Medal successes across many vintages. Immaculately well-priced compared to its illustrious neighbours... if previous vintages are anything to go by, this 2022 will gather many accolades, and tasting it, deservedly so.
Smells
Classic Bannockburn aromas of dark cherry, red cherry, exotic spices, and wild thyme with an endearing smoky note.
Tastes
Superbly juicy, supple, and concentrated with warming richness. Bright youthful intensity and fine, grainy tannins, plus lithe rounded acidity. Its depth, structure and length give rise to a 10-year cellar life... however its fabulous drinking already as a 2-year-old release. Enjoy with duck and other game meats between now and 2028+.
