Description
This is a very special Fromm wine, first made back in 2015 and labelled as Cuvee ‘H’, it has now changed to The Curation. The wine is a blend of Single Vineyard Pinot Noir parcels and proves that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Bob Campbell MW says “pure pinot noir with dark cherry, blackcurrant, violet and subtle herbal flavours ... An impressive wine with a Fromm signature”. The Curation is very much built with longevity in mind, but if you can’t resist temptation then an hour or two in the decanter will do this wine wonders.
Smells
dense and concentrated with bold notes of blueberry pie, Kirsch, shortbread, and very pleasant warming vanilla notes.
Tastes
Silky, yet powerful and mouth-filling, savoury, earthy notes are offset by brooding black fruits and wonderfully integrated oak all of which are balanced by great acidity and tannin structure. A flagship Pinot built for longevity, 10+ years in the cellar will see this wine really beginning to shine.
