Description
Gibbston Valley Wines are famed for their premium Central Otago wines, especially Pinot Noir, luckily, they also produced a beautiful, slightly cheaper range… Gold River. This affordable Pinot still has the full treatment, handpicked fruit, new French oak, and extended time in the barrel. It’s a lovely juicy style of Pinot from one of the leaders in Central Otago, the wine benefiting from the full-flavoured fruit from the company's Bendigo vineyards, as well as those from Gibbston Valley.
Smells
Bursting with bright cherry, dried thyme, and raspberry on the nose, with subtle woodsmoke and berry compote.
Tastes
Juicy, rounded and very welcoming, with a classy structure under-pinning everything to keep the Pinot purists happy, it's a truly moreish glass of wine that will be at its best in its bright youth between now and 2026. An everyday/every occasion sort of wine really, enjoy by itself or with canapes and friends. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 13-14 degrees.
