Description

Pinot Noir typically grows in cool climate regions, the lower North Island and South Island. But it does not surprise us at all that the supreme winemaking talents of Michael Brajkovich have pulled the hat out of the bag again, in producing this stunning, almost Burgundian style Pinot from, wait for it…. Kumeu & Hawkes Bay.

Smells

An interesting bouquet with aromas of crunchy red berries, milk chocolate, giving way to a whole bunch, herbal spicey lift with salt, seaweed, and violets on the nose.

Tastes

Very salty on the palate with salivating tannins and acid in a linear palate structure. Very interesting lower priced Pinot that may polarise some customers as it is not your usual fruit bomb. Rather this is a well structure Pinot with a salivating, dynamic and engaging chalky texture. Superb drinking now through 2025 with pasta, poultry, or pork.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
