Description
Misha’s sloping hillside vineyard on the Eastern shores of Lake Dunstan in Bendigo was planted in 2003. While the wines have always delivered 5 Star ratings from vintage one... this 2021 High Note release shows the vineyards have come of age and the quality of the vintage has been magnificently captured by Chief Winemaker Olly Masters. All the charm of Central Otago Pinot Noir in concert with the elegance, structure, and balance of fine red Burgundy.
Smells
Beguiling aromas of herbs, violets, blackberry, cherry, and spice.
Tastes
The refined colour belies its subtle power that grows in intensity throughout the palate. Dark fruits, subtle herbs, vanilla/nutmeg spice, and savoury finesse unfold in a classic sweet/savoury contrast. The tannins are deeply woven and the acidity is perfect... superb Otago Pinot Noir that grows on you more so with every sip, like quality wine, should do. Pinot seduction... now through 2026-2028+. Perfect match with gamey meats; duck and pork.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
