Description
Mount Brown Grand Reserve Pinot Noir is a testament to the dedication and expertise of this Waipara, North Canterbury winery, known for delivering exceptional quality at remarkable value. Pinot Noir, famously challenging and expensive to cultivate, often commands a premium price, but Mount Brown has forged a reputation for crafting wines that consistently punch above their weight. Their Grand Reserve Pinot Noir stands as the pinnacle of their efforts, made in small quantities and only in the best vintages, ensuring a wine of extraordinary depth and complexity. A must-have for any savvy Pinot Noir enthusiast, this is a bottle that embodies premium winemaking without the exorbitant price tag—a true gem in New Zealand's wine landscape.
Smells
A haunting bouquet of dried herbs, cherries, cured meats and delicate florals. Very high toned and serious.
Tastes
Structured, elegant and very fine, with brooding notes of blackberry and cherry – this is Pinot from the very top drawer. Poised and elegant yet with substance and a body that builds, combined with a delightful chalky, savoury texture, very impressive and more so with every sip. It will age beautifully for a decade or more. Serve with your favourite roasted red meats or game. The recommended serving temperature is 13-15 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
