Description
Neudorf's Moutere Pinot Noir from the Home Block vineyard in 2022 is simply superb. Silky smooth and elegant, it balances power with finesse, akin to a ballerina's grace. It's approachable now, offering earthy forest floor complexity while maintaining a stately structure for aging. Described as fine, velvety, and regal, this wine lives up to its reputation without question—we certainly agree!
Smells
Brooding aromas of fresh black cherry and Damson plum in concert with spicy oak, floral notes, nutmeg, and cinnamon spices.
Tastes
It’s immediately powerful on the palate with a tirade of red and dark fruits infused with spices, savoury notes and a hint of cedary oak. It has plenty of ripe, fine tannin and bright acidity that do justice to its generous palate weight. Drinking at its best from 2025 and through to 2028+ but do enjoy in its youth with strongly flavoured game dishes. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 13-14 degrees.
