Description
A transparent and organic approach, is now at the heart of Fromm winemaking. Grapes were sourced from Churton Vineyard, Wrekin and Fromm Vineyards. No herbicides, pesticides or systemic fungicides were used, only approved natural fertiliser was applied. Both vineyards are certified organic (BioGro). No fining or filtration, meaning you taste grape varieties in their purest, most natural form.
Smells
Immediate appeal on the nose, exhibiting primary Pinot fruit with fresh, dark forest berry aromas
Tastes
Vivid red/purple colour, a very youthful, firm, and focused palate with intensity and crunch. The wine has an intensely aromatic and pure flavour profile with a distinct “Macération Carbonique” fragrance from the partial whole bunch fermentation, which also adds a gentle CO2 lift, giving an elegant mouthfeel to this otherwise high-energy Pinot. Very fine tannins and a long aftertaste. Simply stunning and the best ‘au naturel’ Pinot we have tasted in a long time. No rush to drink, but it is simply irresistible, drinking well now through 2029 and will partner well with Peking Duck or other duck and game dishes.
