Description
Traditionally a blend of predominantly Alexandra fruit from their Last Chance and Red Bank farm vineyards, with Gibbston fruit singing back up. The 2022 vintage see’s both The Fusilier vineyards (Bannockburn) dominating 41%, 25% The Last Chance (Alexandra), 21% The First Paddock (Gibbston) and 13% The Red Bank (Alexandra). Resulting in a more even blend of Bannockburn, Alexandra and Gibbston. One never knows what each vintage will bring, but variety is the spice of life and making the best wine is always their ultimate goal.
Smells
Intensely locked and loaded on the nose, with dark cherries, smoke, wild thyme, plum and subtle mineral, and baked red earth notes.
Tastes
Full bodied and rich across the mid palate, the lovely herbal complexity we always prize in this wine is on full display, serious tannin structure letting you know this will go the distance. As good as any Two Paddocks Estate Pinot Noir we've tried. It's drinking splendidly now but will be at its best until 2028. Enjoy with Peking Duck pancakes. The recommended serving temperature is 13-15 degrees.
We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
