Description
Taylor’s Pass vineyard located on the north bank of the meandering Awatere River contains a mix of silky loam over gravels to stony gravel soils. It consistently produces ripe Pinot with fine structure and 2019 was an excellent year as reflected in this aromatically decadent wine.
Smells
Lavish smells of the flower garden in concert with plum, cherry and savoury notes.
Tastes
A lush entry with an elegant middle and firm but fine finish; excellent weight of ripe fruit with a stylish body with silky tannin, balancing acid and rich oak all in harmony. 4-years on from vintage it’s delicious… however don’t rush as it will develop further and peak around 2030.
