Description
NZ is blessed with an abundance of top-quality Pinot Noir, but it is still difficult to find good Sub $20 Pinots. Why you might say, basically because Pinot needs low crop levels to produce something drinkable in the bottle, greatly increasing the cost. But this Yalumba Y Series is a decent little drop for exactly that, Sub $20. Worth a try.
Smells
An aromatic wine with layers of strawberry, violet and cranberry with a touch
of sweet mint.
Tastes
Bright red in colour. The palate is juicy and refreshing with rhubarb and strawberry flavours. The vibrant cranberry finish is complemented by gorgeous, suede-like tannins. Perfect drinking now with pasta or duck. The recommended serving temperature is 13-15 degrees.
