Description

From the winemaking house of Michel Chapoutier… whom the world’s most influential Wine Critic Robert Parker has previously called… “a winemaking genius.” A fresh shipment of Chapoutier Pays d’Oc Rosé from the lovely 2023 vintage has landed. In a world of upwards price pressure, the everyday price of this #1 selling Rosé in NZ has remained stable. A breath of fresh air for its masses of followers, you can look forward to brightening your days and finding temporary escape from this currently maddening world. An elegant blend of Grenache and Cinsault, it is cool fermented with minimal racking to preserve freshness, then aged on fine lees for 3-4 months to imbue the wine with its succulent body and texture. Savour this extraordinary mix of quality v price v satisfaction Southern French Rosé throughout 2024-2025.

Smells

Enticing floral aromas with hints of pear, strawberry, red cherry and plum.

Tastes

Juicy and mouth-filling, but also deliciously crisp and dry, the balance is immaculate. Flavours of raspberry liquorice, berries, spice and almond, finishing silky with a hint of yellow-fleshed plum. A gorgeous Rosé, perfectly suited to al fresco dining lunch or dinner and supremely versatile with all sorts of cuisine from baked or smoked salmon to fresh summer foods and charcuterie.

We taste, rate & guarantee every wine we sell.
