Description
95/100 + Gold at Decanter World Wine Awards – the World’s equal toughest wine show. Placing it in the Top 5% of 18,000+ wines tasted from around the World! Barton & Guestier, established in 1725, has a 299-year history crafting exceptional French wines, collaborating with over 200 growers across the top appellations of France. Under the expertise of Chief Winemaker Laurent Prada, they produce wines that reflect the quality of many sites and the diversity of French winemaking. This Côtes du Roussillon Villages is a step from the everyday wine you would find in that area of Southern France. Made from Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, there are only four villages within the zone permitted to label their wine Côtes du Roussillon Villages. That’s a guarantee you will be getting a wine of more depth, complexity and overall quality, but still buying it at a great price!
Smell: A vibrant nose of red cherries, plums and blackberries, with violets and a touch of spice.
Tastes: Vibrant red and dark fruit charm the senses, plenty of cherries and plums, with red liquorice and a hint of dark chocolate. The tannins give great texture to the palate. A rich and lingering red, that will match well with red meats and hard cheese. Drinking well now through 2028. The recommended serving temperature is 15-18 degrees.
