The Guigal domain was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis; a small, ancient village at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. It is overlooked by unique vineyards where vines and wine have been celebrated for over 2,400 years. With history like this you just know the quality in the bottle will follow. Croze Hermitage is the largest appellation in the Northern Rhone, 100% Syrah and the wines typically offer excellent value for money. These wines usually have great complexity, with roasted meat and vegetable notes, a rich palate balanced by the salivating acidity inherent to Syrah. Combine this with the stellar 2020 vintage and it’s a win win all round, you won’t regret this purchase, especially if you have a case in your cellar.
