Description
This Wine Thief Syrah is a classic representation of Syrah from their Deerstalkers vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels. The fruit was hand picked and whole bunches were gently destemmed into small open top fermenters for hand plunging before basket pressing to barrel for 18 months maturation in seasoned French oak. Smells
This wine offers a complex medley of white pepper, salted chocolate and Black Doris plums. These rich aromas lead to undertones of smoky tobacco leaf and dark floral notes.
Tastes
The palate offers fresh, dark wild berries, sweet forest fruit compote and flavoursome baking spices. Succulent velvet tannins contribute to the long, elegant finish, a pure symphony fruit, tannins, acid. Perfect drinking now through 2027 and will partner well with roast lamb or beef. The recommended serving temperature is 16-17 degrees.
