So, a heads up on the recently released 2021 Syrah, from a spectacular vintage and yet to be put before the judges. Take it from us, it could even be better than the 2018 and 2019. Don’t miss out, buy a case, and you will never regret a single bottle.
Smells
A haunting and exotic bouquet showing cracked pepper, blackberry, liquorice, plums, wildflowers, leather, chocolate, and espresso.
Tastes
Juicy, fleshy, and full-flavoured, this release is incredibly concentrated and very refined; beautifully fruited but light on its feet in the best cool-climate tradition. A wine of great presence and gravitas with an incongruously affordable price tag, this wine has a smoky, meaty finish to it that cries out for some lamb and rosemary or some wild venison. Great young, this will cellar well through 2028+
