Description
Generous, premium Californian Chardonnay from this highly regarded estate. Now under the ownership of the Foley family, it was originally founded in 1972 and long deemed a benchmark producer of the region. Aged in 100% French oak and undergoing 100% malolactic fermentation (gives that super creamy texture), this is a generous, full-bodied Californian Chardonnay with sophistication.
Smells
a rich style, exuding aromas of ripe pineapple, stone fruits with vanilla, butter and cream, supported by kaffir lime leaves and toasty, coconut oak.
Tastes
the oak gives a solid support, interwoven through the peaches and cream notes with a long, citrus and almost salty finish. Everything you want from a Californian chard. Drinking well now and over the next 3-4 years. Serve with roasted white meats. The recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
