Description
Clearview continuely produce stellar wines and especially Chardonnay from their coastal Te Awanga vineyard. If you have never visited, this is a must, stunning views, stunning wines, and the last Fine Wine Annual Chardonnay tasting has only confirmed it even more.
Aromas: Warm stone fruit, roasted fennel, sea salt and oyster shell notes with a dash of baking spice and vanilla toasty oak.
Tastes: Abundant stone fruit, nectarine and nashi pear flavours are supported by a lovely mineral vein, salted black liquorice, oyster shells and a preserved lemon finish. Good persistence throughout with a creamy viscosity and a lingering, saline finish. Good balance and harmony of fruit and oak. A wonderful drinking Chardonnay now through 2027. Serve with fresh seafood or white meats. The recommended serving temperature is 10-12 degrees.
