Description
Gisborne makes a style of Chardonnay that no one else can make in New Zealand, a fatter, richer, fuller style that so many customers go mad for. This Coopers Creek is a classic example, rich, full, and juicy, it's a lot of wine for not a lot of money. A superb release from Coopers Creek, which is outstanding value!
Smells
Almond, brioche, and coconut, followed by peach, pineapple, and nectarine.
Tastes
Full flavoured and rounded in the mouth with lots of juicy fruit and a rich, mature, creamy mouthfeel. The combination of both French and American oak used gives a lovely nuttiness and creaminess to complement the generous stone fruit characters. At its peak drinking now and through 2024. Will match well with chicken dishes, pasta, and summer salads.
