Description

The Kidnapper’s Vineyard, nestled near Cape Kidnappers in Te Awanga, boasts a breathtaking location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Here, warm summers and coastal breezes nurture intensely aromatic and flavourful fruit. Pouring a pale straw hue, this wine instantly evokes the coastal essence of its vineyard home. Its bouquet hints at oyster shells, sea spray, and cashew, reinforcing its distinct seaside character, promising a delightful experience with every sip. Superb with Kingfish Ceviche, pan seared snapper, roast pork & poultry dishes. Accessibly priced single vineyard mature vine Chardonnay… it will drink beautifully through 2028.

Smells

Enticing aromas of warm sourdough and brioche waft from the glass underpinned by nectarine, hazelnuts and a fresh salty ocean breeze.

Tastes

A scintillating vibrancy and freshness to the white fleshed nectarine and fine citrus palate is complemented by lively acidity drawing out the delicious flavours. The taste of fresh lemon curd and subtle nutty oak adds richness and invigorates. Drinking well now in a Chablis-esque style it’s elegant saline freshness will match perfectly with oysters, Kingfish Ceviche, pan seared snapper, roast pork & poultry dishes. The recommended serving temperature is 10-12 degrees.
