Hunter's, nestled on Marlborough's renowned Golden Mile along Rapaura Road, presents a Chardonnay that's a true standout. Made entirely from Mendoza clone grapes and barrel-fermented, it embodies a complex, flinty character balanced with lively peachy acidity and a smooth, creamy finish. Crafted from the stellar 2023 vintage, it's a wine that promises excellence and satisfaction with every sip.
Smells
Subtle flinty notes on the nose followed by a bouquet of peach, hazelnut and nectarine.
Tastes
An explosion of juicy peach and nectarine flavours, enervated by a refreshing acid line and rounded out by a gentle nutty, biscuity, and creamy finish. Textbook wine that's completely moreish and lives up to its long-held reputation. Delicious with crispy pork belly or roasted white meats, now through 2027. For optimal drinking pleasure the recommended serving temperature is 10-13 degrees.
