Description
Te Kairanga has been blossoming the last few years under the stewardship of winemaker John Kavanagh. The ex-Neudorf winemaker has shown his affinity with Chardonnay in particular, this John Martin named after the man who lent his name to the Wairarapa town itself.
Smells
Elegant stonefruit and grapefruit meld together with toasted hazelnut and a hint of smoke.
Tastes
Great depth and intensity, peaches, apricots and citrus zest lead into more toasted notes. The texture is fine, length long. This will get the pulses of Chardonnay tragics everywhere racing! Enjoy with lemon thyme roast chicken between now and 2029.
