Description
The 2018 vintage won Best in Show for the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021, and the 2019 vintage won Gold at the International Wine Challenege 2022. We are sure this 2020 will follow strongly in their footsteps. Crafted from the unofficial Chardonnay capital of NZ, Nelson with the fruit coming off a single vineyard in the famed Moutere Clays. It's ripe with stone fruit and plenty of new French oak - the nett effect being lovely creamy Chardonnay.
Smells
Biscuity lees influence and stone fruit, vanilla, and flint.
Tastes
Ripe peaches and grapefruit with hazelnut and toasty nuances. Creamy, mealy, and long, with a vibrant acid line. A classy Chardonnay from start to finish, it will be great with roast pork (don’t forget the apple sauce) between now and 2028.
